    Description

Offered is a real photo postcard showing the second annual fair in Wintersville Ohio. Put on by the Wintersville Grange, this was held on September 22, 1910. Although the grange was established in 1905, a permanent building wasn’t erected until 1914. The grange was a source of social life for the residents and has the distinction of being the first in Jefferson County. Grange is a farmers' association organized in 1867. The Grange sponsors social activities, community service, and political lobbying. This image has many, many well-dressed people and numerous surreys. The houses are tied up under the trees in the back. CYKO stamp box (1904-20s). Unposted. Scuff on the back and pen text just started. Clean.
