It took awhile for Rawlings to 'catch on' to the growing slow-pitch softball market and this was one of the first successes it had coming up with this SG76 13 1/4 inch glove to handle softball play. (Major League Baseball gloves were generally limited to 12 inch height but this was often disregarded). Rawlings put in all its reliable features including a top-notch leather and had this manufactured in Japan, one of the more reliable far-east glove makers.
