This is an
ORIGINAL BRITISH PATTERN 1907 WORLD WAR I & WWII BAYONET
& SCABBARD
(Inv. No 0361) It has a 16 3/4 inch blade and is 21 5/8 inches long. It is marked on one side of the ricasso with a CROWN over GR 1907 8 ,17 ????? GEREN and on the other side CROWN OVER E ? E CROWN over 21 over E 25 ? X ?. It is marked 243 on one side of the pommel. The scabbard is marked ALL 41 BROAD ARROW sideways W or M. The scabbard is invert good condition – stitching is tight, no rips or tears. This bayonet was for the Lee-Enfield MK III rifle and used in both WWI and WWII. The bayonet is in very good to fine condition with minor dings to the grips. This is out of my area of knowledge and I have relied on the internet and reference books. Please email any questions.
