NOS GM 77 78 79 Chevrolet Caprice Chrome Front Bumper w/o Impact Holes READ!

New old stock GM part 463185 that replaced 373174 and was replaced by 475793.  This is the front bumper for 1977-1978 Caprice without impact strip holes and for 1979 Caprice without impact holes and guards.  Officially, GM called it for 'BN' Body which is Caprice, Caprice Classic.  This is the one to have - no impact strip needed.  If you have a bumper with impact holes and if you can find a decent impact strip, they are very costly.  This bumper still has the thick rubber coating from GM on it and the original GM parts tag.  There is some surface rust on the inside.  Please read the next paragraph very well so we have a clear understanding about this bumper.  No warranty and no returns.
We have had many NOS bumpers with the rubber coating on them and never had any problems with quality but we have friends who have, at times, found major flaws under the coating of bumpers they own.  We are only willing to remove the coating AFTER a purchase is made and payment is made.  If requested so by the buyer, we would then remove the rubber coating and inspect for any MAJOR flaws.  If there are MAJOR flaws, we would send additional photos and refund the buyer before shipping it, if that is what they want.  If you are unfamiliar with GM NOS chrome, it is never perfect and was never expected to be show quality, so small waves, light scratches or small pits would be normal and not considered major.  What would be considered major are deep scratches, rust under the chrome or lifting chrome.  If you do not expect perfection, you will be very happy with this bumper.
In the past, we have only listed NOS bumpers with the coating removed, but that presents a problem for us when putting it back in storage if it does not sell.  So, we will not remove any more rubber coatings unless the bumper is paid for.   We hope this all makes sense.  NOTE:  If you buy it and want the coating removed, please let us know right after you pay for it or we will ship it with the rubber coating left intact, with no returns.  If it's a spare for your collectible Caprice, that rubber coating is excellent protection.
