Instructions for use.
Work in an open well ventilated area with a breeze at your back when operating the retort.  Have fire extinguisher at hand.
Caution!  DO NOT PUT THE PLASTIC TUBE IN THE WATER OF THE MERCURY RECOVERY CONTAINER during operation or cool down.
Wrap and tie the mercury vapor filter ( small piece os cotton material) around the plastic tube to discharge the mercury into the water in the
recovery container to prevent mercury vapor escaping in the event your water becomes too hot during the distillation process.
Fill the chamber with cold water or antifreeze, add your amalgam to the vaporizing chamber, seal with mud. A little yard dirt mixed with water in a small bowl makes a good mud.
Heat vaporizer cap to cherry red, maintain until mercury stops dripping out the discharge tube.
Allow cap to cool before opening chamber.  After chamber is cool to the touch, remove mercury recovery container to a safe place for storage.  Leave a small amount of water to cover mercury during storage.
Empty water, then move retort to a small plastic tub to prevent any mercury from spilling on the floor while processing.  Recover your gold, then reseal chamber with cap to prevent any trapped mercury from spilling.
