LARGE FLINT GLASS BELL BOTTOM UTILITY BOTTLE-Free Blown-Pontil-1830s-1840s
Offered is a selection consisting of one vintage Free Blown Utility or Liquor bottle dating between 1830 and 1840.The bottle is Free Blown  manufacture style with cork top finish. The lot includes:
1)—A 10” tall, 3 1/4" wide at shoulder, 3 3/4" wide at bell bottom base, beautiful Free Blown thin utility bottle, shoulders noticeably offset, neck leans slightly, true sheared lip, slightly fire toned, with thin , uneven string lip. Bottom flares out about 1/2" from straight body.2" kick up in base contains remnants of a jagged open pontil mark. Colorless, the glass doesn't have the "ring" of lead glass, so am assuming flint was used. Great looking unusual utility bottle, may even reach back to the 1820s!
