PLEASE NOTE ............ this item is selling AS-IS ....... i will describe it to the best of my ability , but nearly every item i sell is from 50 to 100 years old and will show some sign of wear

THIS LISTING ........ is from an estate sale in muncie ..... a very nice Challinor Taylor Purple Slag "Flute" or "Majestic Crown" Compote Dish Cover ...... i only have this hard to find lid and not the bottom
. in wonderful condition there are no chips or cracks in this lid ...... it measures about ..... 7 1/4" (inside lip) ...... 7 5/8" (outside diameter)....... by 5 5/8" tall including the top finial
. the amethyst color has runs of white in it ...... all are different ..... the three largest American producers of slag glass were...... Atterbury & Co. ...... Challinor, Taylor & Co. ........ and the H.Northwood Glass Co.
. if you need this one the price is actually cheap ........ if not , then you likely have no use for it anyway ....... lol ...... thanks for looking at my lid
