    Description

    The Eiger XT Evo GV is a top-shelf ice and alpine boot, designed as the name implies for ascents of gnar such as the North Face of the Eiger. This is an outstanding boot for weight-to-warmth and works with automatic step-in crampons. It has an integrated Scholler gaiter with GoreTex, a carbon-fiber midsole, Gore-Tex insulation, a waterproof zipper, and you name it, this boot has it. What it doesn't have is weight. One boot weighs just 21 ounces. These feel more like rock shoes on your feet than a heavy, clunky mountaineering boot. This boot is svelte. I used this pair for ice and speed alpine climbing, but now live in the South where I can't use a boot of any kind because there's no ice or alpine. New the Eiger sells for 0, and is hard to find. Treat yourself for Christmas with this sweet pair. This pair is in great condition, the only ding is a small crampon nick in the left boot gaiter on the inside of the ankle.
