    Description

    This is an early Civil War period blackglass 3 pc mold blown ale bottle that we dug with pontiled bottles from an 1860s outhouse privy pit....this one just missed being pontiled but definitely was made in the late 1850s or early 1860 era....no embossing. ....Hand blown in 3 part mold, bimal.....early smooth base with dot in middle of sunken bottom....applied collar....dark olive green blackglass....8 7/8"tall x 3 1/4"round.....Shiny nice with only a couple shallow chips on bottom ring of lip; no other damage. a nice clean bottle.....
